Gran Reserva Magnum Shiraz 1.5L

This Gran Reserva Shiraz is presented in a 1.5-liter Magnum format, a vessel that preserves freshness and enhances the wine’s aging potential.

On the nose, it offers concentrated aromas of ripe black fruit—blackberry and plum—layered with restrained spice notes and subtle hints of vanilla and oak from barrel aging. The palate is full-bodied and structured, with polished tannins, balanced acidity, and a smooth, persistent finish that underscores the wine’s depth and elegance.

An ideal selection for fine dining, celebratory service, and cellaring, this wine performs exceptionally well in magnum, gaining complexity and harmony over time.

AGING

Aging takes place over 18 to 24 months in French and American oak barrels with a medium toast. The enology team determines the exact duration based on the wine’s evolution. The process is completed with an additional 6 months of bottle aging.

The 1.5-liter Magnum format reduces oxygen exposure due to its larger volume while maintaining a neck similar to that of a standard bottle. This results in a slower, more controlled evolution, enhancing the wine’s aging potential and long-term cellaring capacity.

TASTING NOTES

Appearance: Tile red with terracotta highlights.

Nose: Intensely elegant and subtle, suggesting forest notes, fine woods, pepper, and cinnamon,
together with ripe black plum, fig, redcurrant, blackberry, tobacco leaves, cocoa, and lavender, with a dulce de leche finish.

Palate: Balanced and elegant, medium-bodied with firm, velvety mouthfeel, reinforcing the aromas and adding hibiscus, toasted coffee, chocolate, and roses. Fruit-forward with ripe
black fruits.

SERVING AND PAIRING SUGGESTION

Serving temperature: 17 - 18 °C.

Food Pairing: Excellent with mole poblano, rich meat jus with bone marrow, and well-marbled red meats such as beef and lamb. It also pairs beautifully with lacquered duck, poultry, and game meats, including venison and hare. Best enjoyed alongside dishes finished with spiced sauces.
