Casa Madero 3V 2023 Named Best Mexican Wine in France

As it approaches its 20th anniversary, Casa Madero 3V continues to showcase the excellence of Mexican wine on the international stage.

Mexico | July 2026 — Casa Madero is proud to announce that Casa Madero 3V 2023 has been awarded the Prix Spécial Mexique, recognizing it as the Best Mexican Wine at the 2026 edition of Citadelles du Vin, one of France's most prestigious international wine competitions.

In addition to receiving this distinguished award, Casa Madero 3V 2023 earned a Gold Medal, placing it among the competition's highest-rated wines. Casa Madero Gran Reserva 3V 2022 also received a Gold Medal, reaffirming the winery's longstanding commitment to quality and consistency.

This year, Casa Madero was the only Mexican winery to receive medals at the competition, joining a select group of award-winning wines from renowned wine-producing countries including France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, and Brazil.

The recognition comes at a particularly meaningful moment, as Casa Madero 3V approaches its twentieth anniversary.

Originally created for the business-class wine program of a major Mexican airline, 3V was conceived as an elegant, versatile wine capable of representing Mexico with distinction. From its debut, it challenged convention through an innovative blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Tempranillo—an uncommon combination at the time that delivered remarkable balance, complexity, and character. Paired with a contemporary label design, it helped redefine the visual identity of modern Mexican wine.

The response was immediate. Following its commercial release, 3V quickly gained the recognition of consumers, sommeliers, and wine professionals alike, becoming one of Mexico's most celebrated wines. Over the years, it has established itself as a benchmark for contemporary Mexican winemaking and one of Casa Madero's most iconic labels.

For nearly two decades, 3V has accompanied celebrations, gatherings, and memorable occasions across thousands of tables in Mexico and abroad, maintaining the consistent quality that is once again being recognized on one of the world's most respected wine stages.

"3V was originally created to represent Mexico in the skies. Nearly twenty years later, it is an honor to see it representing our country at some of the world's most prestigious wine competitions. This recognition confirms that the vision and quality behind its creation remain as relevant today as ever."
